Vocal powerhouse Shirley Jones, formerly one-third of the legendary Jones Girls, is releasing a tribute album to her late sisters, Valorie and Brenda. Arriving February 16th, "Reflections: In Loving Memory" promises a poignant blend of new music and rediscovered gems.
Between 1979 and 1984, the Jones Girls captivated audiences with their soulful harmonies and undeniable stage presence. Discovered by Kenny Gamble, they soared under the Philadelphia International banner, unleashing timeless hits like "You Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else", "We're A Melody", and "Who Can I Run To".
Following a move to RCA in 1984, their magic dimmed, leading to a disbandment in 1985. Shirley ventured solo, scoring a #1 hit with "Do You Get Enough Love" before the sisters reunited sporadically throughout the 90s. Sadly, Valorie and Brenda passed away in 2001 and 2017, respectively.
Through stage appearances, occasional recordings, and guest vocals, Shirley kept the Jones Girls' spirit alive. Now, "Reflections" marks a full circle moment, a dedication to her sisters and a gift to fans craving new and rediscovered sounds. This eagerly awaited release promises a nostalgic journey filled with Shirley's signature vocals and a celebration of the Jones Girls' timeless legacy.
